Brendan Hickey
Brendan Hickey believes that meaningful relationships are the foundation of both life and financial success. His path to wealth management has been shaped by curiosity, entrepreneurship, and a desire to help others pursue their goals.
Brendan earned a bachelor's degree in History from James Madison University before completing an MBA at the University of Baltimore. After college, he traveled extensively around the world, gaining an appreciation for different cultures, perspectives, and global markets. Those experiences ultimately led him to a career in international trade.
As Vice President and Co-Owner of an international trading and industrial manufacturing company, Brendan spent more than two decades leading and growing the business, expanding its global reach, building long-standing partnerships, and contributing to the company's continued success.
Brendan's decision to enter the financial services industry was driven by both curiosity and purpose. While helping oversee his company's retirement plan and managing his own investments, he developed a deep interest in how financial advisors and wealth managers build investment strategies and guide clients toward their financial goals. As he studied the financial markets and earned his securities licenses, he discovered a passion not only for investing, but for helping individuals, families, and business owners pursue greater financial freedom and long-term financial confidence.
Today, as a Financial Advisor with Global Advisor Group, Brendan draws on the lessons learned from building a business, raising a family, and traveling the world. Those experiences have taught him that every client has a unique story, different priorities, and financial goals shaped by their own life experiences. That's why he believes the best advice begins with listening—taking the time to understand what matters most before developing a personalized strategy designed to help clients pursue their long-term financial goals.
Outside of work, Brendan enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, and their four children. He coaches youth ice hockey, continues to play adult hockey, and enjoys hiking, playing the guitar and drums, and staying active with his family.
Brendan has passed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 examinations. His securities registrations are held through LPL Financial.
